Prakash Cancer Aid Project
Statistics show that in Goa 6% of females in the age group between 20 and 30 suffer from breast cancer, while it rises to 50% in the age group between 35 to 55. The chances of survival are 90% if detected in early stages of the disease with increased life expectancy of about 10 to 20 years and in some cases, total cure. Looking into this aspect – the Prakash Cancer Aid Trust was formed in 2007 with the wholehearted support of patrons like Mrs. Manisha Borwankar (she happens to be the daughter of our Charter President Shri Sadanand Sawant), who has consistently joined cause with this flagship project of the RCP.
The goal is for early detection of these diseases and to save lives with awareness, early checkups, detection and possible cure.
